Suggest Remedies For Confusion And Fatigue While On Tegretol And Wellbutrin

I am currently taking tegretol 300mg and wellbutrin sr 150. I have been feeling fatigued, lack of motivation, confusion, lack of concentration and focus, I get easily irritable and upset. Could it possibly be a side effect? and if so will it go away? I have been on tegretol for almost 6 months now and on welbutrin for about 3 months.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Tegretol can cause drowsiness to occur and confusion can sometimes occur in persons using Wellbutrin.

Though these meds can have these effects, it is possible that your symptoms may not be related and due to another cause.

It would be best to discuss your symptoms with your doctor to rule out other causes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
