Hi, thanks for your query on Healthcare Magic.

I have read your description and understand your concern.
The complaint you feel is likely (not always) due to tension type headache. This headache is the most frequent headache. The cause of this type of headache is unclear, but stress factors / many thoughts are one of the most influential factors. The other factor that correlate, like:
1. Hypertension, high blood pressure
2. Hypercholesterolemia, high level of cholesterol in the blood.

Tension headache has symptoms of headache, up to the neck and shoulders. The pain is dull (head as bound), the neck is heavy. Usually this type of headache can disappear by itself when someone relaxed and does have normal lab values all.

In addition to tension-type headaches, complaints that you feel can also occur due to interference or clamp on one nerve in the neck. Usually the symptoms are:
- Headache,
- Neck felt stiff,
- Shoulders and hands felt tingling or pain.

The degree of severity depends on the degree of neck pinching. You can check with your doctor or neurologist on this condition. Your doctor may suggest to do some test like blood test or electrocardiogram. If it is a nerve clamp, it may be necessary to check the electrical conductivity of the muscle (EMG / electromyography) or the cervical spine x-ray.

What you can do at home:
1. Avoid stress
2. Relax every 1-2 hours. Exhausted eyes, for example on the computer continually can cause similar complaints. You can do stretches for 10 minutes every 1-2 hours. For example by walking to the toilet, another body stretch.
3. You can take medications such as acetaminophen when you feel pain.
4. Eat less salty food and avoid fatty foods.

Hope this answer your question.
