Suggest Remedies For Cough, sneezing And Mucus

Hey, I've had a cough for the past 11 days, one that I got on the plane coming back from a trip to Africa. It was on a plane from Casablanca, Morroco to Montreal, Canada. I'm still coughing and sneezing, but it only feels like its muccus down my throat/ in my lungs. Should I be concerned, or is a healthy diet and lots of liquids good enough?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Since you are having recent travel history, possibility of viral upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) is more likely.
So drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
Avoid oily and spicy food. Avoid junk food.
Do warm water gargles and steam inhalation 4-5 times a day.
Avoid hard to chew food.
Take levocetrizine and paracetamol combination twice daily. It is available over the counter.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
If not improving in 3-4 days then consult doctor.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
