Suggest Remedies For Dryness In My Vagina During Intercourse

The other night when my husband and I were having sex he was complaining that I was "dry", and I noticed after a while it did start to hurt. Well it was still feeling good but there was too much friction. How is that possible? Also how can I prevent this from happening again?
