General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The q-tip causes injury to the skin of the ear canal with resultant abrasion or so that causes the bleeding.
Removal of the clot on it might have caused rebleeding.
You can certainly do the following:
If you can do a proper packaging of the ear with sterile gauze soaked in Liquid Povidone Iodine, otherwise take her to Er so that an expert can pack properly and stop the blessing. Also, get an ENT Endoscopy to see whether the tympanic membrane is spared or not.
Do not install any ear drops.
You give her any painkiller if there is a pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
