Suggest Remedies For Elevated Eosinophils Count In Blood

Hello doctor, I am female 41 years. My eosinophils count is very high (25%) and I have chronic urticaria for the past 3 months. I am a bit diabetic since 11 years (borderline) and under food control and hba1c under 6. Are there any treatments for the reduction of eosinophils ? I have mild allergic cough and had wheezing in my childhood till 5 years.

Hello,

High eosinophil count suggests that you are prone to allergy and medications should be used as and when the allergy is anticipated. Medicines such as steroids, antihistamines can be helpful.

However, the cause for high eosinophils should be sought, which requires a detailed evaluation of the blood cells under microscope called peripheral blood smear and look for any atypical cells and clues towards diagnoses. If required a bone marrow biopsy.

Based upon results to address the cause accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
