Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 63 years old, I take candesartan 32 mg/day and atorvastatin 10 mg/day, my creatinine is 1.06, while my microalbumin is 156, how to reduce further my micro albbumin, my diabetic is under control by insulin, my blood pressure is undercontrol by corolan, amlodipin, candesartan, concor. thank you
An increase in creatinine levels is definitely of concern. There is a simultaneous increase in levels of microalbumin too. Microalbumin is characteristically increased in Diabetes Mellitus (DM).
Therefore I would advise you to take up a fasting blood glucose level along with renal profile after consulting your GP. It should clarify the status of your renal condition.
As far as Inderal is concerned, Inderal tablets are unlikely to cause an increase in creatinine levels. You can discuss with your treating doctor about the need for inderal as you are feeling better now. Visit your GP soon for clinical examination and further investigations.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
