Suggest Remedies For Extreme Pain In Left Side Of Head

my head hurts really bad but only on my left side, it started out just being tooth pain on the top and bottom of my jaw, i even went to the emergency, after that a few days after i was at the dentist, the dentist said he couldnt see nothing wrong with my teeth just that my gums looked a little irritated. but the pain gets so severe that it has me in tears, its so painful, now like i said the pain almost feels like a migraine but ive never had one of those, its mainly in my left side right in my jaw, eyes hurt when i focus, headaches, neck pain, and im expecting if that helps

Hello,

I can understand your concern. As you are having pain in the jaw, I am suspecting presence of an impacted wisdom tooth in the jaw. Impacted tooth is the tooth that wants to erupt into oral cavity but it cannot erupt because of lack of physical space or its difficult position regarding shape, size and direction of eruption.

This type of tooth can cause referred pain in the other jaw, neck, ear and can also present as headache.

I would recommend you to go to dentist and go for x-ray of the upper and lower jaw of the left side for diagnosis of such impacted tooth. Make sure you inform him/her of your pregnancy so that he/she can take necessary precautions while examining you and taking x-ray. If such tooth is present, its extraction is advised for pain relief.

You can take Acetaminophen 500 mg or Ibuprofen 400 mg up to three times a day for pain relief till you get an appointment with the dentist.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
