Suggest Remedies For Extreme Side Effects Post Intake Of Duloxetine Generic

I have been taking Cymbalta for a long time. Due to insurance regulations I am forced to take DULOXETINE generic. The past 2 refills have given me side effects I never experienced before like VERTIGO and lightheartedness constantly. Could this be a serious side effect that wont go away?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Generics can have a different side effect profile compared to the trade name medication. It is possible that these side effects would wear off but if they continue, it would be best to speak to your doctor.

He or she would need to rule out other causes such as ear infection, related to the inner ear, anemia (low blood count), low blood pressure or a side effect of another medication. If there is no other cause and it continues, then your doctor may need to speak to the insurance company on your behalf.

I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
