Suggest Remedies For Extremely Dry, Cracked And Sore Skin On Hands
My son has both hands extremely dry, cracked, sore and kind of leathery. He can t work because he does construction. He is a Type 1 diabetic, alcoholic ( 6 months in sober living but recently relapsed). About 1 year ago he was putting pool cleaner in a pool and slightly touched with hands. He would not go to the Dr. Oh, did I tell you he is also very stubborn. At that time his hands got better but never totally healed. Now they have gotten real bad again. My husband died 5 years ago and I just can t not help my son. He has Medicaid, and we are near University of Colorado. Thank you so much, Joanne Brady
He can take perfectly care for hands taking count that he is diabetic and healing process may last for longer. Please use petroleum jelly to moisturise the hands from cracks. Try to avoid the activities which can damage the hands. If a crack get infected he may need to use antibiotics ointment such tetracycline or Neomycin.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
