Suggest Remedies For Extremely Sore Right Nostril

I have an extremely sore right nostril. I have had a cold but the cold symptoms have pretty much gone away but the inside of my nose is incredibly sore and if I don t keep it moist with saline or vicks rub I get big, hard painful dried mucus in there.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to the cold.
I suggest to:
1- Avoid nose picking
2- Avoid blowing nose roughly
3- Use saline nasal spray to avoid dryness
4- Along with it steam inhalation with eucalyptus oil in it, it will help in making the secretion thin
5- Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
