Suggest Remedies For Frequent Migraines With Bloating And Shortness Of Breath
Dear Doctor, I am 38 years old Indian female, vegetarian with a history of migraine and asthma since my teens. Now my migraine is getting worse and I am getting attacks every week. bloating, shortness of breath, asthma attacks are present symptoms. Taking Dicorate 500 ER as per neuro. Please advise
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.
Regarding migraine prevention, there are many different drugs aimed at that purpose. Dicorate is a good first choice drug. If not effective perhaps the dosage can be raised to 1000 mg a day. If dose increase does not work there are still other options like antidepressives (amitriptyline) or calcium channel blockers (flunnarizine). You should discuss their use with your neurologist. However your asthma exacerbations must be addressed as well. I can not give any recommendations on that regard at this time as you do not mention what treatment you are actually getting for asthma, there are many drugs out there. Perhaps you can write again to ask that and me or one of my colleagues will try to help to the best of our abilities.
I hope you will feel better soon.
