Suggest Remedies For Frequent Thrush

I get thrush every month one week before my period - this has been the case for years now. I have had a long history of endometriosis and have discussed thrush with my doctor many times but only ever prescribed pessaries etc, never really dealing with the actual cause. Could it be hormonal and would it be benefiical to go back to the pill? I have two children and am 45.
