Suggest Remedies For Gastric Issues

My husband takes extra potassium and passes gas day and I am hearing it at least twice an hour at night.! It is horrible! Due to medication from open heart surgery , he needs the medications. What can he take to dissipate this gas prior to passing? Thank you for any help.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management you can take antacids like omeprazole or pantoprazole for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
