Suggest Remedies For Hard Lumps At The Back Of My Thorat

for the last few weeks I have felt like there is hair in the back of my throat and its driving me insane. I looked today and i have some real hard lumps at the back of my throat. I would assume its due to a virus or something but this has been affecting my mum for 3 years. Im currently on a ketogenic diet which may be causing it... but is there anything I can do to get them to go down? I literally cannot bear it!!

Hello,

Please answer me few simple questions. Do you have any post nasal discharge? Do you have any foreign body sensation in the throat? Since when are you suffering from this condition?

Possible causes are like granular pharyngitis or viral pharygitis or ulcers in the posterior pharygeal wall etc. Use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Avoid cool drinks and ice creams. Use tablet amoxicillin and clavulinic acid 625 mg twice a day (If your not allergic) after food for five days may useful. If there is still no improvement, get a throat swab culture and sensitivity. You doctor will examine and treat you accordingly.
