General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Heavy and long period could be due to hormonal imbalance, endometriosis, adenomyosis, bleeding disorder, polyp, thyroid dysfunction, cervix and endometrium dysplasia.
I would suggest to consult the authorised gynaecologist and undergo reproductive and thyroid hormone analysis, USG scan, PAP smear, BT/CT, APTT test
Treatment will depend on the specific cause
Progesterone pill or birth control pill will help to regularise the period
Tranexemic acid will help to reduce the bleeding
Maintain proper pelvic hygiene and eat healthy diet with iron supplements
Hope this may help you

Contact further if follow up needed
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
