Suggest Remedies For Hip Pain Causing A Hindrance In Normal Movement

My left hip area is sore & has been a couple weeks. Yesterday i found that at times it was preventing me from a normal walk. Last night I applied a ice pak & it does seem somewhat better. Have no idea what I have done---it is not as painful as it is sore!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

It is best to get an xray of the region along with a physical examination to go about a few manuevers that would help identify the cause for such a presentation. If you are about 40 years of age, are a female and have had some sort of trauma or an impact on the hip joint due to a fall or a jump, or a missed stwp and so on, these would be even more reason to report to a doctor.

Best wishes.
