Suggest Remedies For Impaired Immune System And Bilateral Bronchiectasis

This is bizarre, I have an impaired immune system, bilateral bronchiectasis, poorly functioning sinuses, major ear challenges, and two years ago, breast cancer. My brother came to visit back in July and brought, unbeknownst to me, bedbugs. Now when I cough, I actually have bedbugs in my sputum. And frankly, am getting rather weirded out.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Multiple infections that you are suffering from is due to an impaired immune system. I suggest you consult your physician to look for the cause of the impaired immune system.

Impaired immunity can occur in case of HIV infection, tuberculosis, deficiency of complement, immunoglobulin deficiency etc.

I suggest you get relevant investigations after consulting your doctor.

Management can be done only after a definitive diagnosis is made.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
