HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If you are currently using birth control to prevent pregnancy then there is no risk that a fetus can be affected by this infection.

It is possible that this virus can occur in adults who are not at risk of conception (men and women not trying to conceive), but in most cases, the symptoms are mild- joint and muscle pain for a few days, headache , fatigue , eye pain, rash.
In most the symptoms resolve by day 5 to 7.

If you wish to reduce the risk of infection, you would need to use an effective mosquito repellent.
The vast majority of persons living in regions with these infections do not become infected.

Using a repellent would prevent any bites.

I hope this helps
