Suggest Remedies For Laryngitis With Sinus Drainage And Loss Of Voice
I have laryngitis. My throat is slightly tender, but not really that sore. I have some sinus drainage, but not severe. I have been croaking and squeeking most of the day, and now, I can barely make a sound. What is the best way to recover my voice quickly? I am a 71 year old female in better health than most of my peers.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Inflammation of larynx and nasal cavity has presented with the symptoms what you are complaining of. Kindly do the following: 1. Salt water gargling with warm water thrice daily. 2. Take steam inhalation twice daily, which should help to relieve congestion. 3. Doing mouth wash twice daily with Chlorhexidine as ingredient. 4. Take antihistamine or decongestant medications when necessary. 5. Avoiding intake of cold items like ice-cream or cool drinks. 6. Do not stain your voice while speaking. You should be able to get better and recover in about 3 to 5 days. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
