Hello,

I think it could be an acute illness like a virus. However, as you have a personal history of chronic pancreatitis, should be re-examined to rule out possible reactivation of the chronic damages of the pancreas.

Upper endoscopy to run, and liver/kidney/pancreas function test as diagnostic tests. Stool examination to rule out intestinal parasites.

Have frequent meals and in small portions. Take digestive enzymes to aid digestion. Multivitamins to aid appetite.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
