Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have an ongoing problem with low blood pressure. Very often it is below 100, top number, over 60. By low I mean it is often in the 80 s and sometimes, today, it is 75. I have visited with a cardiologist and he thinks it is reasonable at my age....83, weighing 220 lbs at 5 8 .
Do an echocardiogram if your ejection fraction is 60%. If at this BP you're not symptomatic (like dizziness or cold periphery) then no worries but don't take it easy. Get done adrenal test and serum electrolyte to rule out hypoadrenalism.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Khawaja Ehtesham Ahmad, General & Family Physician
