Suggest Remedies For Memory Loss In An Elderly Woman

My mother 80 years old , yesterday she had a surgery on her lumber joint . She is completely unrest , last night dint sleep . Just after surgery , when she was shifted to her bed with in the 30 minutes of that she removed the drain pipe from the operated part of lumber , & open the bandage . As past history, it may said that she is suffering from memory loss but old memories are still alive on her mind , but at present even she forget that she had a surgery on her lumber very today , or she can t say how she was shifted to the hospital , or where she is right now , how or where she had fall & broken her lumber joint . sir , please advice & guide us to treat her . Hello,

With increasing age, there are different reasons for loss of memory in old people. Loss of memory in old people is typically seen in Alzheimer's disease.

I would advise you to consult a geriatric specialist for this. He will suggest some test and with a medical history and doing an appropriate evaluation of everything, final diagnosis will be done.

For now, make sure she will be taken care of 24*7 as she just underwent surgery and with the memory loss issue the recovery time might take longer than the usual.
