General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Trauma may affect the brain and cause different problems but generally, the symptoms happen soon after the trauma and should not progress. The fact that your memory problems are progressing it is important to have a good physical examination and rule out other causes of memory problems.
You may need to have an MMSE and a full neurological examination and also some blood tests such as CBC, ERS, TSH, FT4, metabolic profile (creatinine and electrolytes, lipids, sugar level, AST, AST, Bilirubin, etc).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
