Suggest Remedies For Mucus Filled Nose Causing Blockage In Nose And Ears

Hello there, I have a Gross DNS in right side of my nose, though its not completely blocked but i do feel very hard to breathe through that side because i have to open it wide to take a breathe and i have problem like mucus dropping down in my throat. I recently went to a ENT specialist because from last 2 weeks my conditions became bad. I was feeling dizziness, and blockage to my ears eventhough i was hearing fine. The ENT specialist gave me some kind of nose drop (Betnesol-N {Sterile} along with some tablets (Pseudoephedrine HCL, Serratiopeptidase, Levofloxacin) and he also suggested me to have Steam with Vicks vapurub. Although mucus became so less now but i still feel dizziness and blackage towards my ears. So can please guide me through this?

Hello,

The symptoms are more likely consistent with allergic rhinitis. As of now continue the pills prescribed by your ENT physician.

You can also use xylometazoline nasal drops to get relief from blocked nostrils. Steam inhalation also is helpful.

Generally, the symptoms will settle in a couple of days. If there is repeated attacks, possibilities like DNS( deviated nasal septum) or nasal polyps must be ruled out.
