Suggest Remedies For Pain And Loss Of Hearing In Right Ear

Respected doctor I have a problem in my right ear. I am feeling some dumbness, pain and water in my right ear. As I used a cotton bud after bath the day before yesterday. At night the pain increased. But it seems little bit better in day. What can be the problem? Regards

Hi,

As per your query, you have symptoms of pain and loss of hearing in right ear which are due to ear infection and pressure build up in eustachian tube due to the penetration of eardrum.

Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you consult ENT specialist for proper checkup. The doctor will examine the ear with an otoscope and rule out causes like a wax buildup. The doctor may prescribe antibiotics (amoxicillin) along with anti-inflammatory drugs. For now, keep your ears dry and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
