Suggest Remedies For Pain In Shoulder Blade And Stiffness In Neck

Hi, I have been dealing with a pain on my left side back, deep inside my shoulder blade, I have a very stiff neck in the mornings and discomfort/pain when I sitting down.....I frequently workout with kettle bells...should I stop? However it only feels better when I am stretching and my body is warm from working out. Pain is most profound in the mornings.

Hello,

I suggest you to take a break from sports or other activities that may aggravate the area. Use an ice pack on the area for the first three days after your pain starts.

Apply heat using a heating pad or warm compress. Take OTC pain relievers like Paracetamol. If you don't feel better take an appointment with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
