Suggest Remedies For Pain In The Arms Post Exercise

I started playing badminton and now my arm hurts below the elbow crease and into the underside of my forearm. When I rest it a week, it kinda feels better but still is sore. Then wednesday comes and it really hurts while I play. I know it has to do with playing badminton but what can I do to stop the pain? Please don't say stop playing badminton! Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

From your description, it is no doubt that your pain is due to muscle stress/strain from playing badminton. I will suggest you reduce the frequency and duration of play. This will permit your muscles to recover well.

Also, it is normal to feel such pains when you get to do exercises you were not very used to. Adaptation will come with time. Just ensure good rest after playing and reduce duration and frequency of play and only increase progressively.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mbuomboh Veranso
