Suggest Remedies For Pain In The Calves Despite Medication For Blood Clot

I was diagnosed with a blood clot in left leg yesterday. Told me to rest for 3 days with leg raised and heat. Taking xeralto. I ve had 3 doses. Both calves hurt so bad I can t stand still in one spot.. I was able to sit but now I can t even do that I have to walk or lay. I would say pain is close to several when standing.

Hello,

Probably the dose of the Xarelto may be not sufficient then you may need to adjust the doses.

Follow up with frequent calf colour doppler study. Also, rule out cellulitis of the lower limb. Use DVT stockings. Plan for IVC filters.

Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
