Suggest Remedies For Pain On The Lateral Side Of The Knee Cap

I ve been having pain on the lateral side of my knee cap. No inflammation or discoloration. Only hurts after certain movements/I m a waitress, supporting on it (aka at the comp. for too long )Ice helps for a short time, but pain comes back after chill has decreased. I ve had knee issues in the past, have never been able to do knee/leg extensions in water w/o my knees creaking, eventually popping. Should I go see a doc, or keep elevating &icings?

Hello,

Pain in the lateral side of knee cap could be due to injury to the knee ligaments.
I suggest you consult an orthopedician for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
