General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If the infection has been cleared than recovery can occur in a few days. But you have perforated ear drum as per history. So perforation needs to be repaired for improvement in hearing. The operation is called myringoplasty in which perforation is to be closed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
