Suggest Remedies For Persistent Diarrhea

I have had diarrhea for 3 days. Have tried LoperamideHydrocloride, and also Floragen, 3, but nothing is working. I have no fever, and no urgency. When I need to go, it is all water. no blood in stool.. I am type 2 diabetic. My glucose readings have declined somewhat, but not severely. Never mind. I will not pay for the advice. I will contact my internist. Insurance covers that cost.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, you should get your stool routine examination done along with thyroid function tests to rule out causes of diarrhoea.

Other causes should also be ruled out by baseline investigations like complete blood count. Meanwhile, maintain good hydration.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
