Suggest Remedies For Persistent Fever, Cough And Congested Chest In A Toddler
Hi my daughter is 2yrs old we went to the er early this morning because my daughter is ill. We were told she has the flu the doctor told me just to keep her hydrated and give her Tylenol for the fever and then we were discharged. She hasn t been doing any better she can t sleep because her barking cough keeps her up and is throwing up and it sounds lIke she is having trouble breathing. Should we take her back to the er or is there just nothing I can do?
The symptoms of your daughter seems to be related to an upper respiratory tract infection. I recommend giving her Tylenol in case of fever. I also recommend giving her mycolitic syrup to reduce the cough.
Give her liquids and use a humidifier at home. If she has trouble breathing you should send her at the ER.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
