Suggest Remedies For Persistent Headache Post Recovery From A Viral Fever

I am 42 and on Enbrel for arthritis. Last week I came down with some sort of virus. I felt shivery, had a slight fever, headaches, blocked ears and earache, sore throat and rattle cough. I m still struggling with the ongoing daily frontal headache. Still have a wheezy cough and some earache at times. I do get asthma though that s not bothering me so much. It s the headaches that are bothersome. I m a teacher and I have a busy time coming up at work. I can t afford to be sick. Do I need to see my GP. I skipped my Enbrel shot yesterday as I know I m not suppose to take it when I m sick.

Hello,

It seems that you have frontal sinusitis with Eustachian tube block following an upper respiratory tract infection (viral).

A course of antibiotic preferably Fluoroquinolones (e.g. Levofloxacin) along with decongestant nasal drops (e.g. Otrivin) and oral paracetamol (500 mg) 1 tab as required to relieve headache symptomatically is usually advised in such type of cases.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
