Suggest Remedies For Post Nasal Drip And Chest Congestion With Cough

Currently have a post nasal drip with chest congestion and cough. Congestion/thick mucus seems to be in back of throat and I have trouble clearing it without making myself cough real hard. Wheezing as well as the congestion is hard to clear. Currently have HBP.

From the history its clear that you have a pharyngitis with URTI and probably a sinusitis too.
1. Salt water gargle (or disprin). Best remedy to set your throat right, no medicine is as effective. minimum of 5 times a day.
2. Oral Antibiotics. Start on penicillin like amoxycillin plus clavunate TDS for 7-10 days (take complete course)
3. Oral decongestents, antihistaminics, antipyretics to reduce the soreness of throat and reduce fever. i.e Sinarest
4.mucolytics and expectorent like ambroxol, guaifenesin thin down the mucus and helps in easy removal avoiding undue coughing

Get a chest Xray PA view to rule out pneumonia and TB, COPD
