Suggest Remedies For Recurring Abdominal Cramps Followed By Diarrhea
I am experiencing abdominal cramping that begins half an hour to one hour after eating. The cramping is so bad I get flushed and start to sweat and feel like I will pass out. This occurs while at the toilet thinking I am going to have a diarrhea attack but it initiates a bowel movement in two parts a hard stool followed by watery diarrhea. Sometimes intense nausea or vomiting may occur during this episode. Problem is I am on various medications for depression and on fentanyl patch for chronic pain due to a severe case of pancreatitis that required partial pancreatectomy which was then followed by bowel obstruction due to scar tissue from original surgery. So doctors have diagnosed the digestive issues as irritable bowel like syndrome and the pain due to damage from pancreatic abscess and surgery and adhesions. Due to a pancreatic cyst post surgery I had the cyst attached to back portion of stomach to allow for drainage and recap to enlarge the pancreatic duct. Later due to scar tissue I from sugary I had a bowel obstruction that required removal of some proximal duodenum. No gallbladder disease didn t cause all this and I am not alcoholic, I don t drink. It was just an underdeveloped duct that trapped a stone and for two years caused periodic bouts of chestpain no one could understand. By now u probably see why I am depressed but no that came years before. My question is what is the cause of these episodes? And how are they treated? Sounds like dumping syndrome more than ibs
