About a year ago I got the pneumococcal shot,a day or so later I started getting cold chills in my back ,goes away for an hour or so ,I m thinking this is a side affect that will not go away, I m 68 and in good health, could I be thinking right? My doctor doesn t know the cause
Hello! According your concern you should know that pneumococcal vaccine uncommonly causes side effects. Reported side effects include soreness and/or redness at the site of the injection, fever, rash, and allergic reactions. It is known that mild soreness or hardness at the site of the injection lasting one to three days. So, you don't worry because all the side effects of vaccine will go away within 3 days, this being based also on your good health history. But,if you have cold chills in your back after the 3 days this is not related to the vaccine. I hope my answer help you. I wish a quick recovery.
