Suggest Remedies For Recurring Ear Pain And Sharp Headaches
Stabbing left ear pain every 10 secs yesterday. Took Norco. No relief. Then took 600 mg Ibuprofen. Pain gone for 4 hours then started again. Woke up to severe sharp pain in top left side of head. Pain every few seconds. Ibuprofen 600mg. No relief. Hour later took 2 exceeding migraine. Fell asleep after 2 hours. Woke up with sharp pain in head again. Again took 2 exceeding migraine. Pain counts. 2 1/2 hours now. Had carpal tunnel surgery 19 days ago. Right hand incision healing from inside.
Severe headache with ear ache might be related to inner ear disturbances with various reasons. If the ibuprofen is not relieving the pain, addition of tramadol hydrochloride and keeping the ear plugged with cotton will help. Later discuss the issue with your doc whether he or she prefers you to go to an ENT or not.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
