Suggest Remedies For Recurring Rash Breakouts While On Depakote For Seizures
Hello, my son has been having generalized seizures since he was 17 and he is 35 now. He has been on Depakote ever since and there have been a few others, but he stops taking them because he breaks down with a rash. This past year he s been having them more frequent, he used to have one, one once every 8, 9 months, then it was every 4 months and lately it s been every 2, 3 weeks. They re very scary to see and I wish I could stop these seizures for good. I was thinking of taking him to the Cleveland clinic in Ohio, what do you recommend?

Your son symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction due to Depakote.
I suggest using antihistamines daily to relieve the rash.
If the symptoms continue I suggest using steroids as prescribed by your doctor.
