Suggest Remedies For Sever Pain After Lumbar Fusion
I am 80, female. 20 yrs ago I had lumbar fusion, which was damaged in a fall, during surgery they broke my pelvic bone, I have had chronic pain since to the point I have extreme pain and barely can walk. My regular Dr. prescribed Tramadol 50mg which barely gives me any relief. Last week I had 9 upper teeth removed and have and upper false tooth plate. The Dentist gave me Hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325 tb. I find that it not only gave me pain relief from the dental work but from this God awful back and leg pain. How addictive is this med.? And can it be taken for a length of time to treat my pain? I am extremely careful with medication, and would love to live a more active, painless life for the next few years.
As per your history, it may be due to lumbar fusion.
For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen. For further assessment you may require MRI back and nerve conduction studies after consultation.
You may also require tablet Pregabalin after consultation. In case more severity you may require surgical intervention after spine surgeon consultation
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
