Suggest Remedies For Severe Cramps In The Legs While Having Lupus
I m 57 years old, diagnosed with Lupus now 8 yrs, last night I had the worst leg cramp every. the muscle on my leg was so tight for about 15 mins it would not let me move. if I tried to move it was worst. called my doctor asked if their is a potassium pill over the counter I can take..... or if my medication has a diuretic. I do have high blood pressure. I do eat bananas, and lots of green vegetables. What should I do.
If you're having lupus nephritis then don't take potassium pill. Just check your serum electrolytes with haemoglobin status.
If haemoglobin levels are less then you may take iron supplements. in case of hypokalemia acter checking of serum potassium levels then you may take.
It may be due to myositis means pain killer medication may useful. Treatment depends upon the cause. please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
