Suggest Remedies For Severe Pain And Clear Discharge From A Burnt Wound On The Thigh
Hello. I m shakti age 32. My right thigh got burnt accidentally with boiling water. It s been 4 days now. Dr. gave me augmentin 625 thrice a day for 5 days and silverx ionic to apply with pain killers for 3 days. I got boils over the burnt area n it bursted yesterday. After that i m having more pain n when i remove dried gel from the wound it hurts more n fluid also comes out every time. Twice a day i remove gel n it peels off giving me pain. Is there any other way to remove the gel or its ok to remove it in this peeling form only. N how much gel should b applied on the wound. Waiting for ur reply. Thanking you Shakti.
First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, peeling may not be needed at all and you may use the cream over it.
Usually blisters containing serous fluid are protective in burns.
If dead debris is overwound it will need surgical debridement from skin regrowth and are a must for proper healing and to avoid keloid formation.
If the amount of skin damage is more, the plastic surgeon needs to be involved too.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
