Suggest Remedies For Severe Pain And Stiffness During Head Movements

My PA diagnosed cervical torticollis, but pain is primarily in right side of occipital lobe. Extreme stiffness and pain when trying to move my head. Very limited range of motion, but again, when i try to move my head the pain is mostly in back of scalp. Feels like a severe cramp in the scalp. Muscle relaxer, nsaids, heat don t offer much relief.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

You are experiencing pain because the nerve roots are compressed by your spine and thus causing the pain. You can take analgesics like Tramadol or Gabapentin which are quite effective in a similar disease condition. If symptoms persist better to consult a neurosurgeon and plan for a pain pump insertion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
