Suggest Remedies For Severe Pain Due To Knee Lock

I have RA in the right knee, i am 45 years of age and need to know how i can control the unbearable pain. Also my knee locks and i have 2 choices, A: wait for it to unlock itself or B: ride the pain out and strectch it, the pain then is immense and need toknow what to do in this situation.
