Suggest Remedies For Severe Pain In Right Foot

My husband had a stroke 5 years ago and is paralyzed on his right side. He has been prescribed tizanadine and gabapentin at different times for different things. He doesn t take either one on a regular basis. Today his right foot is having a lot of pain. He s been taking the tizanadine but he s very dizzy. Would the gabapentin be a better choice?

Hello,

The symptoms of your husband can be related to neuropathy. Gabapentin would be a better choice to calm the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
