Suggest Remedies For Sore Throat And Fever
Hello,
Four days ago I woke up with a sore throat. The first night I started running a fever, and by the second night I was coughing and had congestion. I'm no longer running a fever or have throat issues (aside from it being dry once in a while), but I am still coughing and I now have a dull pain in my chest/lower throat area. It almost feels like I ate something and it's stuck. I have not been able to eat much today as it causes pain. Is this something I need to be concerned about?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat and fever which seems to be due to streptococcus infection or infection of upper respiratory tract.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid eating spicy and heavy food. Maintain hygiene rinsing with antimicrobial mouth wash. Do warm saline gargles several times a day. Milk boiled with a pinch of turmeric taken at bedtime will be helpful for you. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should go for blood and sputum test. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. You should take combination of levocetrizine along with amoxicillin for 3-5 days.
