Suggest Remedies For Spots And Dark Marks On Face After Using A Facial Cream

I am 18 years old.. I started using get lite ( a skinlite ointment ) upon the suggestion of a friend who said it really did help him to remove the dark spots caused by acne.. now after I used for 1 week, I started to feel itchy on my face and also started to get something like boils and small acne all over me face.... so , I stopped using the ointment. . Now it s been about 2or 3 days but the boils type n acne type changed into dark marks n spots all over my face ... pls advise me how to get rid of this...

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of spots and dark marks on face after using a facial cream which seems to be due to allergic reactiona nd increased skin senstivity to that particular ointment.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to wash your face daily with cold water and face wash containing salicylic acid twice a day. Apply clindamycin gel at night time. You should drink plenty of fluids and avoid oily, sharp and greasy food. If condition doesn't get well in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocycline, steroid ointment and may recommend chemical peeling for marks.
