General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Apply ice to your lower waist to numb the pain and apply heat to the area to increase the blood flow and it will help relieve the stiffness. You can do it alternatively. You should also take some NSAID such as ibuprofen to relieve the pain. Since bed rest can make stiffness worse, keep moving with light activity, such as yoga.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
