Suggest Remedies For Sudden Red Blotches On The Face And Difficulty Breathing

All of a sudden my partner got red blotches on his face and had a hard time breathing normal. He started drinking red wine with dinner. He had a few sips, ate dinner and about half hour later it happened. He has had wine with dinner many times before and has had more than a glass. This time it wasn t even a half glass.Any suggestions?

Hi Dear,

welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query sudden red blotches on the face and difficulty breathing is due to upper respiratory tract infection known as pharyngitis. Red blotches on face which are due to allergic reaction or body's response to external stimuli which can be a allergen.

In your case the symptoms seems to be due to allergic reaction of a severe condition like anaphylaxis . So i would suggest you to consult allergy specialist withot any delay . Doctor may prescribe anti histamine , anti inflammatory or give adrenaline short .

In case of upper respiratory track infection visit ENT specialist once and get throat culture and sputum test done to find out exact cause and start treatment accordingly. For now take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl.
