Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that the area of laceration or scraping seems to be infected leading to redness or inflammation an as it has occurred after 5 days it is most probably due to infection only..

I would suggest you to take a course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen to reduce inflammation and swelling and along with it you can also clean the area with antiseptic solution like Betadine and apply antibiotic ointment over it..
Try to avoid excess water/moisture exposure to the area..

In case if it does not improve then injectable antibiotics can help in improvement faster..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
